
The andes of Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador and Peru, rising from the pacific coast to heights exceeding 20,000 feet and rich with music, even in ancient times, music was important in the mortal and immortal worlds of many native Andean people.
The Pan-Flute (zampona) andean intrument consists of two halves and is made from bamboo It has its roots in the traditional music whose sentiments have graced mountain pastures, nourished ritual events and enriched royal courts for millennia.
